Carl Voss is a visual artist, curator and co-founder of Citrus Gallery, and art educator.
They graduated from Knox College in 2017, with a double Bachelor in Studio Art and Art History and is currently completing their Masters at Syracuse University. The crux of their work is an active and engaged participation of an Erotically-charged life, approaching our connection to ourselves and to each other with a fullness of feeling and joy we know we are bodily capable of. Engaging specifically in the visual language of the burgeoning gay subculture of the Pup-Play Community, Queer Nightlife, and implied/overt sexual intimacies, their work embraces both a living archive to the vibrant and undeniable presence of Queerness and the envisioning of play and liveliness we are all capable of - all while deeply concerned with the safety and agency of these people’s personhood.
